Why you’d want it:
The Otterbox Symmetry is a very simple rubber and plastic case that offers a reasonable amount of protection in a very wide variety of styles. The review sample I’ve been sent was the plain grey and white variant, but there’s a lot of choice within the Symmetry range to suit most tastes, although the more complex patterned cases do attract a price premium. It’s a solid case that should survive more than a few drops, although like most non-folio cases a front face drop could still be perilous.
Why you wouldn’t:
Of all the early cases tested, the Otterbox Symmetry is the one that removes most of the style of the iPhone 6 itself, thanks to the front seal that covers right to the edge of the display screen. If you’re keen on showing off your phone, that might not appeal.
