Fat Duck Interlude: Patronise me!

books
OK, this one has nothing to do with technology, except in how it’s used to crowdfund creative endeavours. Over at Alexkidman.com, I’ve been writing short fiction for some time now.

I’m seriously enjoying my time doing short stories, but the reality of it is that it’s seriously crunching into time I don’t quite have at the moment, time that could be being put into that whole “freelance journalist” side of my life. The pay there isn’t spectacular (just ask any freelance journalist), but I have responsibilities to my mortage, my wife, my kids, my cats, etc, etc… it just goes on and on.
Hence, Patreon.
So if you’ve enjoyed any of the stories so far, and you’d like to help me free up more time to write and polish them, head over to my Patreon page and become a patron!
You’ll have my thanks. And the thanks of my cats. And, depending on your pledge level, certain other bonuses.
No, this doesn’t mean I plan to pull up stumps if I can’t get funded — it simply means I can put more time aside for short story writing and polishing each and every week. Time is the one thing none of us have enough of.
If you’re thinking “what short story challenge?”, then you haven’t been paying attention, or came in late. So far, I’m up to week sixteen of a fifty-two week short story writing challenge. You can find them in order here:

That Patreon link, just in case you’d forgotten it already, is right here. Feel free to tell your friends about it. Or enemies. The support money tastes just the same.
