Optus targets Aldi and Kogan Mobile customers

OptusYes
With around 280,000 ispONE customers looking around for a new telco deal, this was pretty inevitable; Optus has announced a “special deal” for those porting to its network.
Not quite as “special” as the deal that existing Kogan Mobile customers had, mind you, but in a release, Optus has stated that those who port their numbers over to Optus Prepaid Social 4G from 5pm today will get double the data and double the standard talk allowance on any recharge of $30 or more.
Optus’ plans already allow for unlimited calls to other Optus mobiles — but you’d pretty much need to know that upfront before calling — with 89c/min calls to other networks or landlines with a 39c flagfall.
That’s not quite the same thing as matching an unlimited calls offer — but I guess it beats losing the mobile number altogether if that’s important to you.
