Microsoft signs up Doctor Who (or the next best thing, if you can imagine it)

Microsoft’s announced that it’s signed up current Doctor Who actor Matt Smith as the official “host” of the 2013 Microsoft Imagine Cup worldwide finals. Although that doesn’t mean that finalists will be placed inside Matt Smith in some kind of fantastic journey… I think.
Instead, Smith (who, strictly speaking, can’t trade on Doctor Who in this particular instance without the BBC getting its cut) will be the host of the finals which will be held in St Petersburg on July 11th. More details on the Imagine Cup can be found on the official blog.
If anyone in Microsoft’s PR department is listening, I might just be free on July 11th. Hey, it’s got to be worth a try
