The Screen Junkies Honest Star Trek trailer — that’s for the 2009 film, not the recent sequel — pretty much nails it. Except for one detail, which it gets badly, badly wrong.
It should be pointed out, just for the sake of good etiquette, that if you haven’t seen Star Trek, this is astonishingly spoileriffic. Just so you know before you click play.
Yeah, it’s fun, but “throws away fifty years of canon”?. Really, Screen Junkies? Really?
No. Star Trek first screened in the US in 1966. There’s only one fifty year science fiction franchise… and we all know which one that is.
