42 hours of Looney Tunes for $11? I'll take three!

LooneyTunes
There are deals that are good. There are deals that are great. And then there are deals that are insanely great, like this one, that gives you more than 42 hours of classic Looney Tunes cartoons for the price of a takeaway meal.
If you’re of a certain age (which is to say that I’m old, deal with it), you’ll recall when Looney Tunes cartoons prefaced any movie you’d go to see. I miss those days, and not just in a pining-for-my-youth kind of way, which was why I picked up this particular box set the last time I was in the UK. From memory, I paid around twenty pounds for it, and I was very happy with that.
Right up until today, when Amazon UK started selling it for the ridiculously low price of seven pounds. Yes, you’d have to factor shipping to Australia into that, but a quick bit of checking suggests that should be around 4 pounds, making this still stupendously good value for a staggering 2544 minutes of classic cartoons.
Frankly, the only way it could be better would be if somebody invented a player that could run a random ‘toon just before any movie I chose to watch. Hmm… has the patent office closed yet? No reason…

Thanks to Brendan J for the tip!

I’ll take three highlights things that are not only discounted, but which I reckon are good value as well. Cheap isn’t always the same thing as great.

  1. Unfortunately turned out to be a pricing error – got an email from Amazon overnight cancelling my order. Right price seems to be 38 pounds plus delivery….
