LEGO The Hobbit is available for PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and Wii U in its full form, and in a portable form — and most likely a cut-down game — for 3DS and PS Vita. I’ve reviewed the Xbox One version of the game, which retails for around $79.95.

LEGO The Hobbit: Fat Duck Verdict

As with LEGO Lord Of The Rings, there’s a wide variety of characters to choose from, but not everybody is playable. For now, my dream of playing as the mighty Smaug remains just a dream. .

If you are someone who enjoys the heavy collection focus that is a part of every single LEGO game, then LEGO Hobbit will not disappoint. It’s very similar to the previous LEGO games, so if you’re tired of the genre it won’t satisfy you, but if you’re a fan of either Middle Earth or LEGO, there’s lots of fun to be had with LEGO The Hobbit.
