The big E3 conference sessions from Microsoft and Sony are over, as is Nintendo’s Direct not-quite-conference-event. All over the web, you’ll find folks declaring that one side or another “won”. I think they’re looking at the question in entirely the wrong frame.
Over at Kotaku, I’ve dug into the question of who’s actually “won” at E3, and why it’s a matter not of declaring allegiances but of looking at the longer game. Also, there are references to Samoa Joe, and a line that might just annoy some lawyers.
