The way you used an ATM forty-four years ago was just a little bit different to today.
ABC News tweeted out this clip from This Day Tonight, highlighting the first commercial ATMs to be installed around Sydney. This was back when $25 would have been a considerable sum of money — and presumably when you wouldn’t have cared that your ATM card had to be posted back to you.
