Minecraft launches on PS4 and Xbox One

The wildly popular creation game has finally launched on both next generation consoles — although not without a wacky pricing glitch along the way for the Xbox One.

It’s been a while coming, but Minecraft is finally available as a digital download for both the Playstation 4 and Xbox One through their respective games stores.

It’s slightly cheaper on PS4, with a list price of $19.75, or only $5.95 if the same PSN ID already owns the PS3 version, whereas the Xbox One version lists at $26.95, or $6.65 if you’re an owner of the Xbox 360 version.

Mind you, as Mark Serrels notes over at Kotaku, if you tried to buy Minecraft for Xbox One last night, you might have been charged an even higher price. An early release glitch saw it initially priced at $289.95. I mean, I know it’s a good game… but that good?
