OK, this is now reading like a classic from the hype playbook, with the BBC confirming that it has uncovered some missing episodes. How many? They’re not saying — at least not yet.
The BBC has confirmed that it’s found “a number” of missing episodes, and as per rumours yesterday, will make some sort of announcement later in the week regarding the find.
I’m still cautiously skeptical about the “106 episodes, everybody party like you’re the Myrka” claims, but this does at least bolster up the Radio Times report that suggested some Patrick Troughton stories were on their way back.
