Head to head to head, the smartphone contenders march into the Thunderdome to take on the Apple iPhone 6 Plus. Except, y’know, I don’t really have a Thunderdome, or even Tina Turner’s phone number.
I do have quite a few large phones to compare, however, as I continue to assess Apple’s largest ever phone. Today, a result that genuinely surprised me.

I believe it’s not just back pockets that are causing the 6 Plus bending issue – the reports suggest it’s any trouser pocket (I can’t imagine anyone being able to get even close to sitting down anywhere with the phone even slightly comfortably in a back pocket). Given I get my Note 3 into jeans/work trousers/shorts pockets without any issue re the device fitting in or bending – whether standing or sitting anywhere – it doesn’t sound good for 6 Plus owners…..
On the S Pen aspect, I hadn’t used a stylus since my old Windows Mobile days, and honestly thought I’d never have need of one again. It’s surpirising how quickly you get used to using it and how many things it is useful for. On average I’d easily have the S Pen out 2-3 times a day.
