But clearly, there’s something going on. For the second year running — and maintaining my own perennial bridesmaid status — we both came this close to clinching the best reviewer gong at the IT Journo Awards, only to see it slip from our joint grasp. I’m collecting a serious number of commended/highly commended certificates; I wonder how many add up to a Lizzie?
In any case, I rather like my daughter’s interpretation this morning, when trying to read the certificate:
“Daddy, it says here you’re an IT Johnno Commander…”
(The clone has the full list of winners up, and congrats to him on his two certificates — and, now that I spot it, the exact same “perennial bridesmaid” line. Perhaps these things do run in families…)
