Microsoft has announced its second generation of Surface tablets, the Surface 2 and Surface Pro 2. One of these things is worth getting excited about.
Over at ABC’s Technology + Games portal, I’ve given the announcement this morning of Microsoft’s second generation of Surface tablets some thought.

Prediction: Microsoft’s incoming CEO will kill Surface RT (or Surface 2 or whatever). They’re being given precious little of the latitude a new CEO normally has, coming in halfway through a huge strategic shift (not to mention a seven-billion-dollar acquisition) so there’s not much room left to stamp some authority on the new leadership. Killing Surface RT is about it. So it’s doomed.
