Microsoft’s long been keen to pitch the Xbox One as more than just a games console. It’s announced that a digital TV tuner and accompanying EPG will soon be available down under.
The OneGuide EPG should be in public preview right now, but you’ll have wait until March to buy the Digital TV tuner, which will cost $39.95. If you’re particularly keen, Microsoft Australia is taking pre-orders on the tuner right now.
The OneGuide is said to be Kinect-enabled for voice channel switching, as well as SmartGlass aware for channel surfing. It’ll integrate with the existing Xbox One on demand video apps as well.
