Wii U Update adds quick start

Starting up a Wii U is a sloooow experience. Except not any more, with a new system update making it significantly quicker.
The Wii U System Update’s headline feature is a Quick Start Screen that pops up on the Wii U Gamepad with icons for the 10 most recently used applications on the Wii U. As per Nintendo’s logic, they’re most likely going to be games, and you’re probably going to want to launch them quickly, which you can now do.
Or at least, you can do once the download is updated. It’s not the quickest process, something that any Wii U user should probably already be familiar with. On the plus side, system updates from now on will apparently happen in the background when the Wii U is powered down.
Now if you’ll excuse me, Mario Kart 8 isn’t going to play itself.
