Twitter adds group direct messaging and mobile video

Remember when it was all about the Tweets? That’s in the past, as Twitter rolls out direct messaging to groups and embedding mobile video into tweets.
Direct messaging has been an up and down experience on Twitter recently, especially with regards to embedded links, but Twitter’s rolling out a new group messaging feature from today, according to a post on the Twitter AU blog.
Groups can accommodate up to 20 users, and while to DM someone directly you both have to be following each other, within a group not all members need to follow one another in order partake in group chat.
Meanwhile the Twitter App’s also added a mobile camera feature, allowing users to add videos of up to 30 seconds to tweets, complementing the existing Twitter/Vine functionality.
