Opera to be default browser on Microsoft phones. Wait… what?

You might think that Microsoft would do everything possible to keep Internet Explorer as the default browser on every single device it makes. You’d be wrong, though, with Microsoft signing a licensing agreement with Opera for its low end Series 30+, Series 40 and Asha phones.
It makes a certain amount of sense, given that those are the low cost platforms Microsoft picked up as part of the whole Nokia deal, and “full” IE would almost certainly be beyond them.
In a release, Opera software states that the Opera Mini browser will become the default for new low-end MS phones, while customers already using the existing browser, Xpress, will be encouraged to update to Opera Mini.
