Stories abound on the Internet. Here’s some thought pieces to tide over your Tuesday lunchtime, covering everything from encrypting Android to Hoverboards.

- Over at Lifehacker, Angus Kidman notes that while many of the deals for tonight’s Click Frenzy sale are already known, some of them aren’t exactly bargains. So it might not be worth melting their servers and/or getting excited anyway.
- CNET’s Jason Cipriani has a nice explainer covering off why Android 5.0 (“Lollipop”) doesn’t enable encryption unless it’s pre-installed, and what you can do about it.
- Paranoid about the amount of Bacteria in your life? Then don’t read this story (though it is kind of fascinating)
- Over at ABC Tech+Games, some guy I’ve never heard of compares the streaming drives sold by WD, Seagate and Sandisk designed to bulk up your Android or iOS storage.
- Tony Hawk finally got to ride an actual hoverboard, but not well. This story seems to be everywhere right now.
- My Vertical Hold partner in crime, Adam Turner argues that Smartwatches might need to get a little dumber to gain social acceptance over at the SMH.
Lunchtime reading is just that; stories I’ve hit during the day that have stuck with me for any of a number of reasons. Read them, and learn things — that’s how the Internet works, folks.
