Internode co-founder is giving away his death ray for free

DeathRay
Simon Hackett’s Death Ray could be yours for no money at all. How you use it is up to you.
With a hat tip to Dan for the link; a Death Ray used in an Internode ad campaign could be yours to do with as you wish… with just a few conditions.
It’s pickup only — I guess Death Rays are pretty big and might contravene Australia Post’s guidelines for postage — and currently non-functional. The Gumtree listing for it is good fun, though:
Condition: Used. Currently not operational.
Price: Priceless
Model Number: One of a kind
Pick up only, cannot deliver
Operationally sound interdimensional portal pictured is not for sale.
Looks familiar? It should. This life size prop was featured in a quirky Internode advertising campaign called “Bad things happen when geeks don’t have internet.” So how about it? Want a new talking point in your office or lounge room? Just email hei******@******.au + click to reveal and let us know why you need a death ray in your home. *Disclaimer: This death ray is not currently functional. It may require technical expertise. Neither Simon Hackett, Base64 or Internode will be held responsible for any carnage, accidental eviscerations or paper cuts that may ensue.

If you get a paper cut from a death ray, then you’re using it wrong.
