Google first talked up its new “material design” scheme at the Google I/O conference back in June. It appears that the first rollout many consumers will see will be via an updated Google Play app store.
Google Play 4.9.13 revises the official Android app store yet again, with a streamlined approach to app descriptions, inbuilt Google+ recommendations (for all five Google+ users), larger app banners and embedded trailers where available.
Google announced the rollout via Google+ (of course), but it’s a staggered approach. If you’re particularly keen, you can grab the .APK file and install it yourself from this link at Phandroid.
