Does e-reader screen quality really make a difference?

I reviewed the Kobo Aura HD yesterday — you can read that review here — and came away impressed by the quality of its display screen. But how good, relative to a standard screen is it?
Leigh Stark over at GadgetGuy’s taken it upon himself to find out exactly how good, by looking at the Aura HD against the much cheaper Kobo Glo. It’s the same method he’s used before to compare smartphone screens.
It’s well worth a read — and a play with the interactive sliders — to get a hands-on feel for the differences between e-ink screens, and, for that matter, actual printed words.
