Doctor Who: Symphonic Spectacular returns to Australia [Updated]

The Doctor Who Symphonic Spectacular will tour through Adelaide, Perth and Sydney in early 2015 with Peter Davison once again taking up MC duties.

BBC Worldwide has announced the tour, which will feature music from the series, appearances by “Daleks, Cybermen and a host of other Doctor Who monsters” (I’m guessing no Myrka, though) as well as ” specially edited sequences of Peter Capaldi’s debut as the Twelfth Doctor”

Cybermen would, it strikes me, make excellent drum machines. But this is about live music.

To be specific, the tour dates are:
24th January 2015 Adelaide Entertainment Centre
31st January 2015 Perth Arena
7th February 2015 Qantas Credit Union Arena, Sydney

Tickets go on sale through Ticketek through general sale on August 18. There’s no word as yet on any kind of pre-sale, although I have put a query through to the BBC to check. For those particularly flush with cash, the release also notes that “for fans keen to put their questions to Peter Davison and find out more about how the show is put together, there are Ultimate Fan VIP packages available.”
Update:
There is a pre-sale from the BBC and for My Ticketek Members, with the BBC tickets going on sale on the 5th of August from 10am AEST, and the My Ticketek pre-sale on the 7th of August from 10am (local time). You can find more details at this link. Although at $508.73, plus (no doubt) transaction fees, you’ll need to dig deep into your piggy bank if you want the premium tickets.
Thanks to Katie for the pre-sale tip!
