So, I could spend hundreds of dollars to maybe get a Matt Smith signature, or simply line up and get to meet Peter Davison for nothing. Gee, that’s a tough choice…

The ABC Shop has announced that the fifth Doctor, Peter Davison, will be making a series of appearances at ABC Shops from late this week.
Specifically, he’ll be at the ABC Shop in Chadstone Victoria on Friday from 10:30-12:00, the ABC Shop in Brisbane on Tuesday 4th from 10:30-12:00, and then a week later, two Sydney appearances; the main ABC Shop in the QVB Building in Sydney on the 11th from 11:30-1:00, and then at the ABC Shop at the Macquarie Centre on the 12th, again from 11:30 to 1:00.
Update note: The ABC Shop site originally listed the Sydney times identically to the Brisbane/Melbourne times, but it now appears they’ve been shifted back a little. It may be worth checking with the stores just beforehand in case they change again.
Update, Feb 9: It would appear that the Melbourne and Brisbane appearances were… rather busy, to put it mildly. The following disclaimer has been added to the remaining Sydney appearances on the ABC Shop’s Events page
We are expecting a large turnout and due to the 90-minute time restriction, customers are permitted to bring ONE item to sign. Photos with Peter Davison are permitted only if time allows. Please arrive early to ensure you don’t miss out!
On the plus side, for the QVB appearance, Adam Spencer will be the MC, further upping the quality geek quotient.
On the minus side, I have to work both days. Sob. Whimper. DAMMIT!
