It’ll be an early start for the die-hard Whovians on the 24th of August as the ABC simulcasts the first episode of the eighth series of Doctor Who at the same time as the UK.
The ABC had already confirmed that it would be simulcasting, but that was prior to the BBC announcing its actual broadcast time. Now that’s out of the way, it made the announcement of the early screening on the ABC, followed by immediate availability on iView, and another broadcast that night at 7:40pm.
I’ve already seen the first episode, but I signed a piece of paper saying that I wouldn’t spoil it.
Frankly, I wouldn’t anyway, but I will say that it’s a very good regeneration story. And that’s all.
