The OS X 10.9.4 update will set you back at least 283MB; the combo update is a heftier 958MB. According to Apple’s own notes, the update
Fixes an issue that prevented some Macs from automatically connecting to known Wi-Fi networks
Fixes issue causing the background or Apple logo to appear incorrectly on startup
Improves the reliability of waking from sleep
Includes Safari 7.0.5
Meanwhile on the iOS side of the fence, iOS 7.1.2 offers bug and security fixes, and can be grabbed from a compatible iOS device directly. Finally, the Apple TV’s also had an update to version 6.2.
So if you’re a heavy Apple user, today could be a heavy data day.
