Or maybe just a few more than that. To celebrate San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel’s running a special on its Marvel Unlimited digital subscription service, offering access to the vast majority of its back catalogue for 99c.
The regular monthly price is $US9.99, which still isn’t bad if you’re a comics junkie, and it’s worth noting that the deal is set to auto-renew at the higher monthly price. Still, 99c (in US dollars, so probably around $1.10 once conversions kick in) for a month’s worth of comics reading is hard to beat.
Marvel Unlimited typically trails new issues by around six months, and there are some gaps in its claimed 75 year back history if you have somewhat esoteric tastes. Over a month, however, you’re unlikely to run out of things to read.
I’ll take three highlights products that are not only discounted, but which I reckon are good value as well. Cheap isn’t always the same thing as great.
