While I’ve been busy banging the Movember drum so hard it’s nearly shattered, I’ve also been scribing the odd word here and there.

First of all, a new blog up at MacTheBlog:

How did that sneak onto my random playlist? Oh well. I guess I can’t always be predictable.

Although (smooooth segue #372!), it is somewhat predictable that I’d be writing about Apple again.

Firstly, with my blogging hat on, at PC Authority:

Mac Authority: New iPod shuffle headphones, and other annoyances: “The last thing that I want to follow up “Welcome To The Jungle” when I’m at the gym is Mozart’s Piano Concerto Number 11. It just doesn’t seem right to me.”

Invariably, even having had my critical analysis hat on for both articles (it’s tough wearing this many hats… maybe that’s why my hair’s wearing out?), I’ll still get accused of being an Apple “fanboy” by somebody. I just have to wait long enough.

iTunes is throwing some seriously odd song choices at me today. I’m beginning to doubt that whole “Genius” thing. Then again, if the above lyric isn’t genius, it’s insanity, and they’re tolerably close for most intents and purposes.

As if to counterpoint yesterday’s discussion of the whole media ecosystem print/online thing, I’ve got a couple of articles published online for your enjoyment. First up, with my news/blogging hat on at PC Authority:

Another day, another quick news piece for PC Authority:

Apple updates iMac: “Who says PC Authority doesn’t have the authority to get things changed? Just a day after we post a story comparing the relative value of the iMac against desktop PCs, Apple’s announced a refresh of the iMac.”
