Many things happened this week, not all of them good, and not all of them within my usual home state. A week in which I complained about the great and mighty, got hypnotised by science and bootlegs and waterboarded in the name of chasing shipfish. The very shipfish in this exact photo.
Before I start, a huge thanks to Leigh Stark for the use of his dolphin photo. As those majestic creatures surfed through the waves, I was alternately in awe, spluttering water or trying to focus a camera. That’s because I spent a large part of the week in Adelaide; that’s not a city that I’m unfamiliar with in any real way, although it was a little unusual to be there staying in unfamiliar accommodation, without a vehicle and without my family. Quick disclaimer: I travelled to Adelaide as a guest of Panasonic. Make of that what you will.
Anyway, I’m still contributing (on a freelance basis) to Gizmodo, which led to quite a few stories over the week. Here’s my favourites:

While on the subject of moving pictures, it’s also been pointed out to me that I totally forgot to point out that I was on The Project more than a week ago, talking about 3D Printing. I’m not the world’s greatest TV host (yet), but baby steps… baby steps. Then the big stompy Godzilla type ones, if everything goes to plan.
And while still on the subject of motion pictures, being in Adelaide also brought with it the opportunity to film a new 30 Seconds Of Tech… and nearly drown along the way. Totally worth it for the dolphins, though.
